Barnyard Millet Halwa (Indian dessert)

Ingredients
1 cup barnyard millet
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
10-15 raisins
2 tbsp ghee
2-3 cloves
1 cup milk
1 cup water
dry fruits for garnish

Method
Procedure to prepare Barnyard millet for Halwa

  1. Wash and soak 1 cup of barnyard millet for 6 hours.
  2. Drain the water and dry in a shade for 3-4 hours.
  3. Roast lightly and grind coarsely.

Procedure to make the halwa.

Take a deep pan and put ghee in it.

Add 2-3 cloves then add the prepared barnyard millet

Roast till brown in color.

Then add milk, raisins, and water. Mix well.

Add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.

Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with dry fruits.
