Let’s make some high-protein, gluten-free, nutritious PIZZA!!

Red Lentil Pizza

Ingredients for base:

1 cup red lentils

1 cup water

Salt to taste

A pinch of mixed Italian herbs

Toppings:

A good mix of finely chopped vegetables such as spinach, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, and corn.

Cheese mozzarella (if dairy free then cashew cheese)

Pizza sauce

A tsp of nutritional yeast

Directions:

  1. Add equal quantities of red lentils and water to the blender, salt, and some Italian herbs.
  2. Blend it to a smooth paste and pour the batter on parchment paper. bake it for 20 mins at 180deg.
  3. Once cool peel off Pizza base from the paper.
  4. Add sauce and vegetables of your choice along with cheese.
  5. Bake it for another 10 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle some nutritional yeast and serve it hot.
